Ah, we saw this one coming! Amy Childs is releasing her own fragrance…
Amy Childs is about to follow in the footsteps of celebs such as Katie Price, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Peter Andre and… well just about hundreds of famous faces really, as she’s releasing her own fragrance.
The reality star confirmed the news in her ‘New!” magazine column this week saying that her debut solo pong will be available in the shops later this year, however as yet its got no name. She said:
“I’m bringing out my own perfume! I’m so excited. It’s some thing I’ve wanted to do for a long time as I love perfume and all things girly. Now it’s finally happening.
“We are aiming to have it out by August, but it’s all in the early stages. It hasn’t even got a name yet, so any suggestions are welcome!”
So she’s got her own fragrance and a new reality show with cousin Harry Derbidge. Well, actually no not quite; on the subject of that TV project she wrote:
“The story about Harry and I making a UK version of The Simple Life isn’t strictly true. But we are working on various projects together and there is talk of doing some kind of show.”
That’s a shame, because even Paris Hilton herself was apparently tantalised by the prospect of the programme. Amy claims the socialite messaged her recently after hearing about plans for the show.
“Last week, Paris Hilton sent me a message on Twitter saying she really likes me” wrote Amy. “She said she’d read that I was making a TV show like The Simple Life and she wanted to wish me luck, and can’t wait to meet me when she comes to London!”
“I replied to say I loved her show and would really like to meet her, too.”
A meeting between Paris and Amy eh? Now that sounds like it could be a reality show all on its own.
A new YouTube video demonstrates a hack which purportedly takes over the video display of Times Square’s massive screens using an iPhone. CBS posted the story saying, “First off I’m going to state that I do not know if this is in fact real or fake. My gut is telling me it has to be fake… but if it’s real, I’m so going to buy one!”

the way it works is pretty simple: plug in my transmitter into the iphone 4 and play back any video clip. you can play it through the ipod feature or through the camera roll. the transmitter instantly sends the video signal to the video repeater and the video repeater overrides any video screen that it’s being held next to. it doesn’t matter what shape or size the hacked screen is because the hack video will simply keep its correct dimensions and the rest of the hacked space will stay black.
I chose times square for my demo because it has lots of video screens to try it on. it is also one of the most monitored and secured areas in new york city and that made it that much more fun :). you can see in my video that the repeater is pretty powerful but the signal is not very stable yet. i’m working on that. i will post a new video later this week explaining how i made this prototype.
Even if the hack is fake, the video is pretty impressive.
